Empowering our People

As part of a company with a deep-rooted purpose and ambitious goals to fulfill that purpose, it’s no surprise that we don’t settle for the status quo. People join and stay at Danone North America because they can find both professional and personal fulfillment in their daily experience.

Our team is relentless in its commitment to create an environment that brings value beyond a paycheck and is mindful of creating programs that mirror the changing ways people want to work.

To that end, we regularly solicit feedback from our team to bring new offerings and resources that help them thrive.

Some of those initiatives include:

  • Community outreach. We have a deep commitment to nurturing the communities in which we live and work. In fact, each year we designate a month during which our teams go out into our local communities to offer time and skills to causes that support our mission. We also have a number of other fundraising, volunteer and community activities throughout the year in our different locations.

  • Inclusion and Engagement. We have an inclusion council that fosters a diverse, inclusive and engaged culture, and has initiated a variety of employee resource groups. These groups are grassroots organizations led by passionate people at Danone North America to support, advocate for and provide activities around different topics. Some examples include our PRIDE group (focused on Lesbian, Gay Bisexual, Transgender and Ally initiatives); Working Caregivers (a resource for those providing dependent support); and LIFT (Leading and Inspiring Female Talent).

  • Ongoing learning. We offer a host of ongoing professional development opportunities through onsite and online trainings to ensure our people can take charge of their careers and constantly learn and grow.

  • Tapping into our global village. As part of Danone, our global network provides compelling professional development opportunities. Through a variety of social networking platforms, we swap stories, celebrate successes, share photos and get to know one another better across borders and cultures.

  • Competitive Pay and Benefits. There are many things that create a fulfilling work experience. Compensation and benefits are still an important part of the mix, and we work hard to constantly evaluate the marketplace to offer competitive total reward packages.
